MANAGER - PURCHASING, MATERIALS, LOGISTICS

Kathrein, Scala Division, a world leader in antenna technology seeks an experienced, action-oriented professional to lead our purchasing and warehouse teams and direct all phases of major procurement activities.

Primary Responsibilities:

You will direct procurement, contractual services, disbursement, and inventory operations at the senior levels of supply chain management and operations. Includes working with national and off-shore suppliers to obtain optimum prices and material release time frames; monitoring performance aspects of major contracts; directing activities of purchasing and warehouse staff; coordinating with engineering and manufacturing to maintain inventories at planned levels; and leading improvement efforts in policies and procedures.


  

Qualifications Include:

     

  • BS degree in business or other job related field preferred..
  • Ability to understand broad business issues enabling contributions to management decision-making..
  • Well-developed communications skills and ability to clearly present issues, proposals, and solutions. .
  • Common sense and sound judgment.
  • Extensive experience in managing materials planning, purchasing, inventory control, and contract negotiation.
  • Strong and stable leadership of a team
  • Ability to promote quality, teamwork, and productivity.
  • Ability to conduct effective meetings.
  • Working knowledge of MRP techniques
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • Prefer candidates with in-depth understanding of machine tools pertaining to sheet metal, fabrication, stamping, turning, milling and laser cutting.
